Job Description

Our firm is a high-end, boutique corporate law firm located in the Chicago Loop. The Real Estate Practice Group is seeking to add a COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY to our growing team. SHOULD HAVE 4 TO 8 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE LAW IN ILLINOIS.

MUST HAVE: 4-8 YEARS of transactional experience in commercial real estate and/or commercial lending law.

MUST BE CURRENTLY ADMITTED TO PRACTICE IN IL.

IDEAL CANDIDATES: should have experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, development work and leasing work and/or experience representing banks and other lenders in real estate secured and asset based lending transactions. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience handling the:

• acquisition,
• financing,
• leasing and selling of retail,
• leasing and selling of commercial,
• leasing and selling of industrial and
• leasing and selling of multi-unit residential property.
• PREFERRED (not required):  experience with section 1031 exchanges
• PREFERRED (not required):  representing institutional lenders in real estate and asset-based lending.

Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail as well as an ability to work independently and take full responsibility for transactions is a must.
