DESCRIPTION
Decypher is seeking a Federal Business Development Director to support development of opportunities across the Federal sectors.
Required Skills
Identify, research, assess, and develop new Federal and DoD prime and subcontract opportunities
Work collaboratively to build a new business pipeline (both short- and long-term) and help identify capabilities for future growth.
Collect business intelligence and develop win strategies
Develop partner relationships to expand potential organizational capabilities
Conduct meetings with customers, competitors, and teaming partners to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choices
Determine what the potential customer needs to fulfill the requirements of the opportunity
Identify potential capability gaps associated with opportunities and secure partners to fill gaps
Conduct a competition analysis and compare with team’s capabilities
Work with senior leadership to develop pricing strategy
Appoint, supervise, and collaborate strategies with the Proposal Team
Review bid request documents and determine what should be included in response to customer solicitations
Participate as an independent proposal evaluator in all proposals reviews
Identify risks associated with opportunity and develop mitigation actions/approaches
Identify gaps in proposal requirements and work with team to address gaps for a compliant response
Required Experience
Demonstrated working knowledge and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Federal Government contract administration
Self-starter with attention to details
Must be able to determine value added discriminators and thrive in a competitive win environment
Highly developed interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong time management / prioritization skills
