OVERVIEW OF POSITION
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
LEAD, DEVELOP, ALIGN, AND IMPLEMENT SUPPLY CHAIN STRATEGIES
Drive value creation for several of the Yum! Brands (KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell) and A&W
Leadership and support of key category strategies for core food items. Focus on vegetables and other side categories. Support Team Lead with produce and agriculture.
Develop, negotiate and implement procurement strategies and contingency plans with Brand Food Innovation Teams, Quality Assurance, Operations, Marketing, Finance, RSCS Operations, Commodity Risk Management, Suppliers, Distributors and Franchisees.
Develop, negotiate and execute contractual agreements with suppliers and ensure legal documents are in place for all managed items.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the supply chain processes through detailed cost bar analysis for raw materials, packaging, direct and indirect labor and manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
Develop and drive category strategies and execute sourcing events to assure supply and drive margin improvement processes that provide organic and systematic growth while delivering supply chain efficiencies for the Brands.
Collaborate with Brand Food Innovation, Development and Quality Assurance to drive innovation and commercialization of new products.
Support RSCS Operations with procurement expertise in the development of supply chain strategies and contingency planning for all market tests and national calendar initiatives across all Brands.
Work with RSCS Risk Management/Commodity Team to identify margin improvement opportunities, proactively manage risk and ensure market positions accurately reflected in product costs.
Collaborate with RSCS US and International Program Management teams to provide category expertise and support for base business and promotional needs. Coordinate sourcing events for assigned items, as requested
Develop forward looking cost models to provide timely and accurate forecasting for assigned Cost of Good items (COGS). Review and revise all cost components as needed and ensure accurate updates to COGS system on quarterly basis.
Manage administrative processes including Cost of Goods Plan, Supplier Diversity, GPS, RFP proposal, and Technology Fees for assigned categories.
Maintain and verify accuracy of Global Pricing System (GPS) and other company software applications as it relates to supplier commercial terms, item setup, pricing, and freight.
