Job Description

DMS International is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Review (QAR) Text Editor to ensure the highest standard of accuracy and consistency in our written content. As a QAR Text Editor, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive reviews and proofreading of various written materials, including articles, documents, marketing content, and publications. Your keen eye for grammatical errors, typographical mistakes, and adherence to brand guidelines will be crucial in maintaining the quality and credibility of our content.

Responsibilities

• Content Review: Thoroughly review and edit written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax to ensure it adheres to established quality standards.
• Style Compliance: Ensure all content aligns with the company's specific style guides, maintaining consistency in tone, voice, and formatting.
• Accuracy Check: Verify the accuracy of data, statistics, references, and sources cited in the content to ensure factual correctness.
• Fact-Checking: Conduct research when necessary to verify the validity and credibility of information presented in the content.
• Collaborative Feedback: Provide clear and constructive feedback to writers and content creators to improve the overall quality and effectiveness of content.
• Document Version Control: Manage multiple revisions and track changes to ensure the correct version of content is used for publishing or distribution.
• Meeting Deadlines: Prioritize workload effectively to meet tight deadlines and ensure timely delivery of error-free content.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains consistent language, messaging, and terminology.
• Quality Assurance Procedures: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to identify and address content-related issues proactively.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on language usage, writing trends, and industry best practices to continually enhance editing skills and knowledge.

Required Experience

• Proven experience as a Text Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing editing expertise.
• Exceptional command of English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
• Familiarity with style guides such as AP Stylebook, Chicago Manual of Style, or other industry-standard guidelines.
• Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for errors and inconsistencies.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using editing software and tools.
• Understanding of digital content platforms and SEO principles is a plus.

Education
