    WHO YOU ARE: We are looking for a self-starting, organized, and reliable Accounting Assistant to join our team. Our ideal candidate has extreme attention to detail, is comfortable working independently as well as in teams, and has a desire to grow and advance in their role. Technical requirements include: 

    • 3-5 years of related experience in an administrative capacity. Ex: Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Payroll, Office Support, etc.
    • Strong basic computer skills, with the ability to learn new software systems swiftly.
    • Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality of work.
    • Experience in manufacturing, construction or production industries is a plus.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

    DAY TO DAY: The Accounting Assistant will be primarily responsible for supporting the Director of Finance and Controller in assorted projects and tasks. A typical day may include:

    • Performing Accounts Payable.
    • Maintaining vendor records, reconciliation, and tracking expenses.
    • Analyzing workflow processes to find more efficient ways of doing things.
    • Establishing and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
    • Ensuring bills are being paid in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Processing due invoices for payments.
    • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges.
    • Serving as back-up in areas of Payroll and Office Administration.
    • Other duties as assigned.
