    DOCOMO Innovations Inc. invites Ph.D. students and exceptional M.S. students to apply for a paid summer research internship in emerging radio access network technologies toward B5G and 6G.

    The duration of the internship is up to twelve (12) weeks with flexible start and end dates with remote employment being an option for this opportunity.

    ** Who is this opportunity for?**

    Candidates for the position are required to have experience in wireless communication, information theory, and optimization theory. Additionally, candidates are required to have strong analytical skills and proficiency in Python. Candidates with projects, courses, or previous work related to the following topics will be preferred: statistical signal processing, resource allocation in wireless networks, communication systems at high frequencies such as mm wave and above, integrated communication and sensing (also called joint communication and sensing), or state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning techniques.

    We encourage qualified and continuing Ph.D. students currently enrolled in any year of their program and exceptional M.S. students at any institution within the U.S. to apply to this opportunity.

    ** What does this opportunity offer?**

    As a summer research intern at DOCOMO Innovations, you will be responsible for establishing, developing, and executing a research agenda while working with peers and managers. You will work with researchers to support your project. We will provide you with professional development opportunities, experience as an independent researcher, and an opportunity to shape the future of wireless networks, communication technologies, and their operation.

    Projects led by research interns in previous iterations of this program have resulted in publications and presentations at high impact venues within the field.

    The duration of the research internship will not exceed twelve (12) weeks depending on the selected candidate's availability. Additionally, we have a certain flexibility to decide the starting and ending dates of this opportunity to best fit your calendar.
