DPP is seeking a BUSINESS SYSTEMS ANALYST for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.
POSITION SUMMARY:
- Define customer needs in technical and business contexts.
- Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort.
- Provide guidance with planning and prioritization of business support-related activities.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 4 years of IT business analysis experience.
REQUIRED SKILLSETS:
- Position is a highly visibility position that organizes, coordinates, plans, and executes authorized Windows Server changes.
ADDITIONAL SKILL SETS:
- Ability to schedule, run, and manage meetings
- Lead conference calls
- Speak at meeting that involve various areas within the organization related to changes
- Active listener
- Ability to articulate work requirements in both written and spoken
- Coordinate resources and changes to avoid collisions
- Ensuring participants are actively engaged in the planning of the change
- Ability to ask probing questions to ensure knowledge transfer from the requestor is clearly articulated and transferred to the implementor assigned to the effort.

- Experience working on project efforts
- Project Management experience is a plus
- Knowledge of Change / Release Management Fundaments
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and deployment order of operations to aid in planning and execution of requested changes/releases.
- High level knowledge application distribution software solutions such as SCCM or BigFix and experiencing with reporting.
- High level knowledge of Workstation / Server OS versions and application versions
- Ability to pull reports
- Collect data and provide updates
- Technical Liaison - Ability to communicate technical changes to both internal and external customers, bridging the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.
- Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems that support the business solution.
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge about the direction of the business units to others who support them.
- Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities.
- Provide input on the business direction for system changes.
- Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.
- Assist in the development and documentation of training materials. Mentor or train less experienced staff.
