SUMMARY

General labor production team member will perform cooking, production and inspection duties as needed based on production demands.

Day to Day Duties:

Cooking

• Keep specific log of recipes, manufacturing processes, and R & D batches
• Advise regarding improvement of processes and ingredient formulation
• Cooking and proper clean up duties

Production/Raw Materials

• Keep log of production and raw materials. Document and send copy of information at the end of each work week
• Follow GMP guidelines
• Operate candy lines and cooling tables when necessary

Inspection

• Visually inspect film, shape, seal, color, flavor to meet product specifications.

• Visually inspect for scrap and product that does not meet specifications.

• Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position does not have supervisor responsibilities

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work for this position will typically be done on the production floor but you may have to work in the kitchen. The production floor does expose you to candy odors, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level on the production floor can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Frequently communicate effectively with senior management and production team
• Move about the production floor and office
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the time
• Must be able to position self to maintain equipment
• Occasionally ascend/descend ladder 
• The employee will need to move items up to 80 pounds.
• Must able to detect imperfections in the manufacturing of candy to maintain quality standards.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week.
