    Job Overview

    The State of Ohio (DRC) is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst (BA2) to support enterprise initiatives by leading requirements gathering, analyzing business processes, and ensuring successful solution delivery. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, and hands-on exposure to Azure DevOps or similar tools.

    Key Responsibilities

    Requirements Analysis & Documentation

    Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business and technical stakeholders

    Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system interactions

    Develop business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

    Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle

    Solution Design & Validation

    Collaborate with architects and developers to align solutions with business needs

    Support testing, create test cases, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

    Identify risks, gaps, and dependencies; recommend mitigation strategies

    Stakeholder Engagement

    Serve as the primary liaison between business units and project teams

    Facilitate workshops, demos, and status meetings

    Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences

    Process Improvement & Mentorship

    Recommend business process improvements and automation opportunities

    Mentor junior Business Analysts and share best practices

    Contribute to documentation standards and requirements templates

    Required Skills & Experience

    6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role

    Strong knowledge of business process modeling and requirements elicitation techniques

    Experience creating user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile/Scrum environments

    Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and requirements management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira)

    Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

    Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation

    Experience managing backlogs and traceability in Azure DevOps

    Compliance Requirements

    Government-issued equipment must not be used outside the United States

    Candidate must disclose current City/State of residence

    Must agree to a BCI Fingerprint background check
