Job Description

You’ll be capturing key moments throughout each routine at the competition, preserving lifelong memories for dancers and their families. In doing so, you’ll need to

• Photograph jumps, kicks, leg holds, beautiful poses and passionate expressions throughout each routine
• Take approximately 50 photos per dance
• Setup and test your equipment at the venue
• Resolve any equipment issues prior to the competition’s start
• Support the Event Supervisor where needed
• Your camera will be tethered to a laptop, all you’ll need is a camera and lens (requirements below)
• You are responsible for the quality of your product

GIG TYPE / DURATION: Weekly opportunities run on Thursday/Friday – Sunday, from March– June 2020 (Excluding Easter Weekend)

COMPENSATION: $20 / hour

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience required (dance, theatre, concerts, or sporting events preferred)
• University or College degree in a related field required
• Able to work long days for the duration of the competition 
• Sound technical knowledge of all camera equipment, including maintenance

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Professional Digital SLR Camera (at minimum - Canon 70D, Nikon D7500 or comparable model)
• Comparable backup camera preferred but not required
• 70-200 mm f/2.8 lens and 24-70mm f/2.8 lens
• Tripod or monopod and backup camera batteries
