    DESCRIPTION:

    Drew University is seeking an ADMISSIONS RECEPTIONIST in the DEPARTMENT OF COLLEGE ADMISSIONS. This is a 12-month, part-time position reporting to the Director of University Events.  The Admissions Receptionist will serve as the primary customer service contact for Drew University and the Admissions office, performing an array of duties such as greeting visitors, answering the main Admissions phone line, and admissions office coordination such as database records entry, mailings, event and tour assistance, office inventory management, and more. A flexible, organized individual with strong customer service experience and the ability to creatively solve problems will be successful in this position.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee daily management of Admissions welcome desk including routing calls to appropriate campus partners, handling internal and external mailings, organizing prospective student files, and Slate database management.

    • Provide information and assistance while exuding a warm, welcoming, positive presence for all visitors.

    • Assist with management of Admissions student workers.

    • Assist with campus tour program including checking in visitors and organizing tour materials.

    • Manage tracking of all office inventory and ordering supplies as needed.

    • PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE DIRECTOR OF UNIVERSITY EVENTS OR HER DESIGNATE.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelors required

    • 1-3 years of experience working in customer service or office support preferred.
