Drew University is seeking a Visiting Assistant Professor of Physics for 9 months (AY21-22), beginning in late August 2021. ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS ENDS ON AUGUST 15, 2021.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach a 1-year algebra-based introductory physics sequence and associated labs.
Set up and troubleshoot introductory physics lab equipment (such as air tracks, photogates, and data collection interfaces) along with other faculty.
Help with and participate in departmental activities.
Research is not expected, but welcome if the candidate wishes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Ph.D. in physics or a closely related field.
Genuine interest in undergraduate physics education.
Previous teaching experience (e.g., TA).
