    Coordinator of Student Engagement

    Drew University’s Office of Student Engagement is seeking a full-time Coordinator of Student Engagement. This is a full time (35-hours/week), twelve-month, live-in position. The Coordinator manages student engagement and a residential complex’s day-to-day community development services and programs in an effort to create residential living and learning communities for intergenerational undergraduate, graduate, and theological students. Manages club life for all student groups including community service programs. Supervises student staff, and serves as liaison with the Complex Living Council. Provides crisis intervention to residents and assess issues to resolve or refer for resolution. Manages and coordinates campus-wide programming initiatives on behalf of the Office of Residence Life. Responsible for assigned after-hour/weekend, holiday on-call duties to address campus emergencies. 

    This position is categorized as an essential employee and while flexibility will be provided as approved by the supervisor, reporting to work in-person is required of this position.

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise student staff, including Resident Assistants and/or House Assistants, and student interns.

    • Provides crisis intervention/assessments to students in need through an on-call emergency response rotation. 

    • Manage Club Life for all undergraduate, graduate, and theological school clubs and organizations and support connections to Launch Identity/Affinity Groups. Advise the Residence Hall Association, manage fiscal operations for clubs in collaboration with campus partners, inducing serving as advisor of the Student Government Budget & Organization Board (BOB), provide support for all club activities, and teach in the Drew 110 program

    • Assist in coordinating student programming such as traditional events, Senior Week, Spring Weekend, and field trips for students

    • This position supports the planning and coordination of Residence Life & Student Engagement initiatives, and serves on department committees as assigned by the supervisor.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s degree is required.  Master’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field is preferred.  Minimum one year of experience in a related field is required.
