    Drew University is seeking an ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR in the DEPARTMENT OF COLLEGE ADMISSIONS. This is a 12-month, entry-level position reporting to the Dean of Enrollment Management.  The Admissions Counselor will be responsible for recruiting students from a designated territory to attend Drew University.  An understanding of and ability to communicate the value of a liberal arts education and Drew’s specific educational experience are required.  A competitive, goal-oriented, results-driven individual capable of building relationships with students, parents, school counselors and campus partners will be successful in this position. 

     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • REPRESENT DREW UNIVERSITY AT RECRUITMENT ACTIVITIES IN A DESIGNATED GEOGRAPHIC TERRITORY. EXTENSIVE TRAVEL IS REQUIRED.
    • INITIATE AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS, FAMILIES, AND COLLEGE COUNSELORS THROUGHOUT THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS.
    • REVIEW APPLICATIONS AND MAKE ADMISSION DECISION RECOMMENDATIONS.
    • COUNSEL PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES ON THE ADMISSIONS AND FINANCIAL AID PROCESSES
    • ASSIST IN THE DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF ON AND OFF-CAMPUS DREW UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS EVENTS.
    • ANALYZE DATA TO ASSIST IN DEVELOPING A STRATEGIC RECRUITMENT PLAN FOR DESIGNATED TERRITORY.
    • PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE DEAN OF ENROLLMENT MANAGEMENT OR HER DESIGNATE.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • LIST THE MINIMUM ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION: BACHELORS REQUIRED,
    • LIST THE MINIMUM YEARS OF PRACTICAL, RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION: 1-3 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE.  EXPERIENCE IN COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PREFERRED.
    • BI-LINGUAL IN SPANISH PREFERRED
