  • Responsibilities

    We are hiring Manufacturing Operators to join the team at DrVita, Inc., the parent company of Nature's Lab, Eva Nutra, Paradise Springs, and REMO Pet. We are located in Las Vegas, Nevada – home to our Manufacturing & Distribution Warehouse, most teams working within the facility. We are consistently searching for Manufacturing Operators, Parts Washers, Blending Technicians, Encapsulation Technicians, Packaging Technicians, to name a few. SHIFT OPENINGS:

    • Days

    • Nights ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Involved in the process of verifying, weighing and blending of powder mixtures; and dispensing in containers for use in an Encapsulation machine.

    • Set-up and breakdown of machines and fixtures for processing. Work is based on specific guidelines for each machine and part. Set-up may consist of installation, changes, and adjustments to fixtures. Set-up activities may require the use of hand tools.

    • Move and/or stacks bins, metal plates, and bucket of materials. May load tubs of materials to work centers as applicable.

    • Carefully handle and wash blending parts when needed.

    • Visually and manually inspect raw materials prior to blending or encapsulating to ensure quality standards.

    • Check and correct any conditions which are not conducive to a safe and clean workplace. Report any safety issues immediately.

    • Complete documentation accurately and legibly per established guidelines.

    • Maintain clean and orderly work areas. May include cleaning machines, breakdown of machine, and cleaning areas around workstation.

    • Recognize out of control events, discontinue operations, and restart operations only when out of control event has been successfully remedied.

    • Will be asked to train peers and/or participate in a task force to improve company procedures or operations.

    • Must be able to successfully pass all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a cGMP, quality environment including but not limited to; inspections and GMP requirements to perform essential functions of the job. Must re-qualify every year on all job-related tests and certifications as job or qualifications require.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Clean background check & ability to pass a drug screening
    • Ability to lift 55 pounds
    • Ability to stand all shifts and keep up in a fast-paced environment
    • Possess a sense of urgency
    • Effective problem solving
    • High manual dexterity is a MUST
    • Reliable transportation
    • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers
    • Ability to work overtime and weekends when mandatory

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

    • Familiar with GMPs & SOPs
    • Data entry experience on an iPad or Tablet
    • Basic math skills
    • Convert pounds to kilograms
    • Calculate averages
    • Round numbers to the nearest 100th
    • Read a balance and scale
    • Follow a blending recipe
    • Shift reporting and documentation
    • Line clean up and equipment changeovers
    • Equipment breakdown and re-assemble
    • Recent mechanical and/or manufacturing experience with good references is a PLUS
