    WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT: This full-time position is for MOBILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS in the United States and reports at the DS2 Hub in Niceville, FL.  In this position, you can expect a creative and professional work environment on a cross-functional team with opportunities to contribute on various projects in relation to Android mobile application development, specifically for the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) and more. This is a mid-level position, and the salary requirements are between $85K to $110K, depending on what you can bring to the team.

    Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Clearance. RESPONSIBILITIES – WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

    • Full software lifecycle application development- designing, developing, debugging, & documenting mobile applications 
    • Build and maintain clean, scalable, and responsive Android custom mobile applications as well as Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) plugins 
    • Actively participate in concept development & client meetings 
    • Work in a focused, dynamic, fast-paced team environment with accountable deadlines
    • Conduct research for, report on, and create proof-of-concepts and prototypes for R&D projects
    • Learn emerging technologies and programming tools to keep you and your team as well equipped as possible

    QUALIFICATIONS - WE NEED SOMEONE WHO: 

    • Actively programs and develops in one or more of the following languages: Java or Kotlin 
    • Has 5+ years of experience in Mobile Development 
    • Has proven experience developing and deploying with the Android Platform
    • Is able to engage with teammates, both virtually & face-to-face, to plan projects, seek out or provide help on issues 
    • Has knowledge of general mobile landscape, UI/UX, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies 
    • Has a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Gaming, or related field

     

    PREFERRED - IT'S EVEN BETTER IF YOU: 

    • Have proven experience developing and deploying with the Android Platform 
    • Are proficient with source control software like Git or Bitbucket  
    • Have experience using software development lifecycle tool suites: Azure DevOps and Atlassian 
    • Have experience developing Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) Android plugins or TAK-based development (TAK Server, WinTAK, iTAK)
    • Have received one or more Scrum, Microsoft, Google Developer certifications or any other technical certifications 
    • Have examples of projects you've worked on in a public repository such as GitHub, Bitbucket, or Sourceforge
    • Have experience leading a team of software engineers
