Summer SAT Instructor (Part-Time)
Location: San Jose, CA (In-Person Only) Duration: Summer Program (Approx. 15+ teaching hours)
Elite Prep San Jose provides middle/high school students with rigorous academic training, personalized guidance, and structured programs designed to build discipline, confidence, and long-term success. Our mission is not only to improve test scores but also to cultivate strong study habits and a genuine passion for learning, ultimately guiding students toward admission to top colleges and universities. We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging SAT Instructor to teach in the summer. This role is ideal for educators passionate about helping high school students improve their standardized test performance and build strong academic foundations.
This is a part-time, in-person teaching role with approximately 15 hours of instruction during the summer, with potential for continued opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Teach SAT preparation classes using Elite Prep curriculum
Deliver structured and engaging lessons in a classroom setting (5–20 students)
Help students strengthen test-taking strategies and core academic skills
Monitor student progress and provide feedback
Maintain attendance and basic academic records
Communicate with staff regarding student performance and class progress
Support a positive and focused classroom environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (completed)
Strong SAT subject knowledge (Math and/or Reading & Writing)
Prior SAT teaching or tutoring experience preferred
Familiarity with the Digital SAT format is a plus
