Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our facility in Baltimore, MD. The ideal candidate will have strong manual machining skills and experience working with a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize manual machining skills to operate a variety of machines including boring mill, cylindrical grinder machine, manual grinder, manual lathe, manual vertical mill, and turning lathe
• Perform heavy equipment repair tasks using shop math skills and precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Operate overhead crane to move materials and equipment as needed
• Work with machine brands such as Clausing, Bridgeport, and Supermax to complete machining projects

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in manual machining and heavy equipment repair
• Proficiency with shop math skills and ability to use calipers and micrometers
• Experience working with machine brands such as Clausing, Bridgeport, and Supermax
• Ability to operate boring mill, cylindrical grinder machine, manual grinder, manual lathe, manual vertical mill, and turning lathe
• Experience operating an overhead crane is a plus
