About the Role:

HER Community Services LLC, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our growing team. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks

Implement individualized support plans (ISP) and document progress accurately

Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community activities, and outings

Encourage skill-building, independence, and community inclusion

Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Respond appropriately to behavioral support needs and crisis situations

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in a related human services role preferred

Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
