About the Role:

Legacy SLS Inc is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Burbank, CA. Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities

Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks

Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately

Transport and accompany clients to medical appointments, community activities, and recreational outings

Administer medications and follow health and safety protocols as directed

Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and person-centered approaches

Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members regarding client needs and progress

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required

Prior experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or in a related field preferred

Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to pass a background check and health screening

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and compassionate demeanor

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts as needed
