Print Technician Position Summary
The Print Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all production equipment including DTG printers, dryers, air compressors, and related systems. This role ensures uptime, safety, and reliability through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and technical support. The position requires both electrical and mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
Print Technician Requirements and Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crawl for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds of tools or parts.
- Comfortable working in heat, noise, and confined or elevated spaces.
- 2+ years of experience as a technician servicing equipment relating to printing.
- Previous experience with inkjet printers preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in diagnosing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance software.
- Able to work non-standard schedules with potential for overtime or after-hours calls.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in high-pressure production environments.
- Occasional domestic/international travel required for equipment training.

- Knowledge of RIP (Raster Image Processor) and Adobe Photoshop applications.
- Understanding of color management tools such as i1 Profiler.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with Kornit digital printers.
Print Technician Compensation & Schedule
- Pay Range: $20–$35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Schedule: Full-time, 11-hour shifts, rotating 4-day/3-day work week.
- Occasional overtime or weekend coverage may be required during peak seasons.
Growth Path
- Advancement through technicians levels 2-5, leading to Senior Technician, Lead, or Engineer roles.
