Job Description
Working within the Creative team and reporting to the Creative Director, the WordPress Developer is primarily responsible for the build-out of websites and other digital content in CMS and CRM/Marketing systems. Typical duties include:
Setup website containers on our cloud hosting platform
Build-out websites in WordPress and other content management systems, closely following supplied designs and brand guidelines
Assist in scoping new projects, working with marketing, sales and directly with clients to develop effective solutions to their challenges
Assist in launch and ongoing maintenance of websites
Build-out emails, newsletters, and other digital content in CRM/Marketing systems such as HubSpot
Work closely with the entire team to delight and deliver for the client, while staying on budget
Qualifications
This role requires strong web development skills, a curiosity of how things work, and a drive to continuously improve our processes, platforms, and programmatic abilities.
The right candidate must be prepared for fast-paced project schedules, be comfortable making decisions, and effectively manage their own time. They will also be comfortable researching and learning new tools and platforms to serve the needs of our clients.
Two+ years of full-time experience in building and maintaining WordPress websites
Experience developing mobile-first responsive websites
Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
Ability to work in a fluid environment where parameters oftentimes shift from project start to finish
Firm understanding of SEO and how to properly implement
Firm understanding of Structured Data and how to properly implement
Meticulous attention to detail and documentation of work in project management systems
Experience in HubSpot and SharpSpring not required, but is a bonus
