    We are looking for a passionate and dynamic seasoned VoIP Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring their passion for developing, designing, deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the DYL VoIP network/system. The VoIP Engineer brings brilliant expertise in VoIP technologies such as FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, OpenSIPS, WebRTC.  This is a role that requires individuals to be versatile in their skill sets ranging from IP networking, VoIP knowledge, scripting, working open-source systems among other things. You will be in a critical position to make significant contributions to the development, evolution, enhancements of a world class VoIP product. You will be working with a lean, efficient, multitasking and diverse group of people to create a solution at scale, delivering high reliability and an exceptional user experience using some of the latest technologies. 

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Work with Engineers and Product Managers to deploy, implement, and support new products and features in the VoIP network/stack
    • Design and maintain highly available, performant and scalable VoIP infrastructure
    • Create documentation outlining the design and support of voice products
    • Escalation point and training for DYL's technical support departments as subject matter expert for DYL's voice products
    • Perform regular off-hour maintenance and support for VoIP's voice products
    • Writing scripts (or via CI) to deploy, in an automated fashion, software across existing servers (virtual or bare metal)
    • Continually evolve Fraud protection, Network Monitoring and Network performance
    • Troubleshoot and quickly mediate any network issues/outages

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)

    • Strong ethical foundation and attention to detail
    • Minimum 5 years experience with SIP/RTP and other real time communication protocols such as WebRTC
    • Must have 5+ years of experience in FreeSWITCH, Kamailio and OpenSIPS (is a plus)
    • Experienced designing and deploying highly available and scalable VoIP infrastructures across different data centers
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Programming/Scripting experience with Lua (Python, Go and Perl is a plus)
    • Be able to create write modules for FreeSWITCH, Kamailio and OpenSIPS as well as creating patches
    • DevOps Tools (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and other CI/CD tools)
    • Networking Switches, Routers, Firewalls, IDSs and Security Appliances
    • Relational Databases (MySQL and Postgres) a plus
    • Linux server operations, deployment, and performance monitoring
    • Excellent documentation skills
    • Experience with Jira/Confluence is a plus
    • Experience with cloud provisioning (AWS, Google) is a plus
    • Ability to work in a team environment
