Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Devops Engineer to join our Engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring their passion for Open Source tools and solutions, automation, problem-solving, collaboration, constant learning, and have a curiosity about how things work and how they can be improved. You will be working with an agile, efficient, multitasking and diverse group of people on technical projects which use some of the latest technologies like React, Kubernetes, NodeJS, Go, EFK, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, VoIP and Postgres among others. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Implementing and maintaining Linux/Unix environments.
• Work and coordinate with software teams to deploy, implement and support new features and enhancements to current web and VoIP products
• Support, maintain, patch and monitor legacy web applications
• Deployment and revision of web applications and software
• Audit reporting, security and compliance of all systems, services and hardware (if any)
• Assist in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plan (back ups)
• Develop and maintain portions of a CI/CD Pipeline
• Create documentation outlining design of IT infrastructure for Web/VoIP/Networks 
• Perform occasional off and on net hours in case of failures and emergencies for business continuity
• Create and maintain accurate infrastructure diagrams
• Develop HIgh Availability and Failover Strategies
• Execute deployment, rollback processes and business recovery processes
• Perform data retention and backup activities
• Organize and document past and future failures and resolutions
• Implement, maintain and monitor VoIP systems/Freeswitch/Communication Stack

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• BA or BS equivalent experience is required
• 3 or more years of experience working in the administration of Linux is required
• Certifications in AWS, GCP, Linux is a plus
• Proficiency using DevOps tools such as Terraform, Ansible and GitLab
• Experience at performing duties in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, IBM SoftLayer
• Solid experience managing and maintaining DB instances such as Postres, MySQL, Redis, Cassandra 
• Experience with administering queue systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka
• Working knowledge in developing CI/CD systems, tools and technologies
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is a plus
• Experience with High Availability and Failover solutions
• Working knowledge using a scripting language like Perl, Python, Ruby, or Go
• Experience in the development and implementation of disaster recovery plan (Back Ups).
• Experience with a scripting language such as Perl, Python, Ruby or Go
