POSITION DESCRIPTION:

DZYNE Technologies is building a highly skilled team that thrives in the design, development, test and manufacturing of intelligent, autonomous vehicles. The candidate will work in a vehicle development and manufacturing environment where projects are realized with the highest degree of commitment to quality and efficiency.

The DZYNE Technologies team is looking for a Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead that will be responsible for leading a small team of engineers through the successful development and maturation of a rapidly growing family of unmanned aerial vehicles. 

Essential Functions:

• Lead a small team of systems engineers in a fast-paced environment
• Manage execution of defined systems engineering scope of work to cost, schedule and technical baseline
  • Systems Architecture Trades, Analyses and Definition
  • Systems integration support (hardware and software)
  • Development and execution of test procedures for system checkout
  • Configuration Management
  • Engineering processes
  • Requirements Management (development, decomposition, verification and validation)
• Collaborate with functional leads from other engineering disciplines throughout the product lifecycle
• Coach and mentor other employees
• Support workforce planning
• Support Risk and Opportunity Management
• Support development of strategies for future enhancements with a focus on affordability

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years Systems engineering experience in aerospace or related technology field with at least 3 years experience leading a small team of engineers in a product development setting.
• Experience taking products from concept through detailed design, build and test.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio for documentation, communication and presentation of work products.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience developing and integrating new capabilities into existing military aircraft systems.
• Familiarity and/or experience with the following standards a plus:
  • MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-516
  • SAE AS50881 aircraft wiring standards.
  • MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704 for aircraft systems design.
  • MIL-STD-810 or DO-160 for aircraft environmental engineering.
• Experience integrating COTS solutions into military aircraft systems.
• Experience with integrating communication systems into military aircraft (interfaces and protocols, LOS and BLOS).
• Experience with the Microchip PIC family embedded systems a plus.
• Experience with Altium Schematic and Board Layouts a plus.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) from an accredited university.
• At least 5 years engineering experience in aerospace or related technology field with at least 3 years experience leading a small team of engineers in a product development setting.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• This position may require the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
