Social Media Video Editors at Daily Wire are responsible for the creation of engaging and monetizable video content to boost video revenue for the Daily Wire Marketing department. They use their skills in video production and editing, combined with an intuition for successful viral social content, to produce a high volume of content on a quick turnaround basis. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create engaging and high-quality monetizable video content that elevates The Daily Wire brand
• Assist in increasing revenue from videos published to social media  
• Assist in increasing monetizable video views
• Ideate creative ways to elevate Daily Wire social media video productions
• Edit various social media creative videos for monetizable content on YouTube and Facebook 
• Create social media videos to raise engagement and follower counts on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
• Reformat clips according to social media platform needs
• Research and suggest video concepts or opportunities for viral content
• Convert and compress media for post-production workflow
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

• Nashville, TN -based position (working remotely is not an option)
• 2+ years previous experience in comparable social media video position
• Immersion in and full understanding of social media including platforms and processes
• Interest in and/or familiarity with the political and editorial news landscapes
• Strong instincts for successful social media content and engagement
• Ability to produce a high volume of content quickly that also meets production and social media standards for quality
• Ability to spot and capitalize on social media trends
• Excellent proof-reading skills
• Detail-oriented
• Aptitude for visual composition, lighting, and style
• Discernment between highly produced projects and “quick and dirty” viral videos
• Strength in prioritization and proactivity
• Video production experience required
• Proficient in use of Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC, and Photoshop CC
• Experience using video camera systems
• Professional photography and photo-editing skills a plus
• G-suite proficiency

REPORTS TO: Social Media Video Manager

START DATE: Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time; Non-Exempt

COMPENSATION: $24.00-$33.00/hour
