The Daily Wire is looking for an Illustrator to join our Design team! The Illustrator will bring content to life through the art of illustration for various Daily Wire video projects as well as those for outside clients who hire us. The ideal candidate for this position has at least two years of previous professional experience in a similar role; possesses strong illustration, digital painting, and conceptual skill; and is a highly creative thinker. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Illustrate content for various Daily Wire video projects as well as those for outside clients
• Draw characters and perspective in environments
• Research visual reference for assigned projects
• Execute the creative vision of clients and Company executives on video and film
• Match a variety of different styles while meeting esthetic and technical criteria. Styles include but are not limited to:
  • Photo-real compositing
  • Graphic designs for video thumbnails
  • Illustrations for informative videos and satirical videos
• Take input and direction from Supervisors and thrive on receiving creative and constructive feedback
• Routinely collaborate with fellow Design team members and effectively communicate design ideas
• Take on delegated tasks with minimum supervision
• Manage projects from concept to completion
• Assist with the efforts of other Design/Production/Post-Production team members
• Meet deadlines assigned by management
• Complete and submit daily project logs in accordance with Daily Wire Log Policy
• Perform other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

• Nashville, TN -based position (WORKING REMOTELY IS NOT AN OPTION)
• Bachelor's Degree in Art and/or 2+ years relevant work experience
• Strong instinct for creative and storytelling
• Well-versed in color design, lighting, composition, and form
• Proficient in standard graphic design and illustration software including: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, traditional media, and Microsoft Word
• Adobe After Effects, Premier, and Acrobat proficiency a plus
• Strong graphic design, visual design, and typography skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and sometimes stressful conditions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• G-Suite proficiency

REPORTS TO: Post-Production Manager & Director

START DATE: Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time, Exempt

COMPENSATION: $52K-$62K
