Job Title: Installation Technician
Location: Norwalk, Connecticut
Overview:

Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years' experience installing whole home audio, video, networking, surveillance systems and home theaters. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies from Control4, Savant, Crestron and more.
The Install Technician is responsible for installing and servicing products at the customer's job site while meeting industry standards. This person will be organizing supplies, product and transportation of high value equipment to the job site.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration
The management of van stock and tools as well as van maintenance and appearance
Meet with project manager to ensure timeline and expectations.
Communicate effectively with and take direction from Lead Technicians and Project Manager
Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
Clarify final placement of key components with communication from PM or customer
Trim out speakers, CAT5/6, coax and camera placements
Installation of in-ceiling/in-wall speaker installation
Install/Setup home and light business network systems
Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras and NVRs
Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
Communicate with Project Manager on schedule and expected completion dates
Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
Accurate time clock entries and job costing
Make decisions and be held accountable to Time and Materials
Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Technician’s care
Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security
Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws
Qualifications:
Must understand all systems including audio, video, security, lighting and integration of all installed brands.
Must be able to read house plans and other job site related documentation.
Basic wiring and connectivity skills as it pertains to low voltage standards. Troubleshooting skills are essential.
Basic computer skills with the ability to become competent in in-house job management software.
Attention to detail, particularly regarding key component placement & system wiring.
Additional Requirements:
Local travel to job sites required
On call rotation maybe required
Flexibility to meet customer demands outside of normal working hours
Able to independently lift items up to 50 pounds
Capable of sitting, standing, and kneeling for extended periods of time
Must adhere to state and federal laws as well as abide by traffic laws while using company vehicle and/or on company business
Available to work 8am-5pm, Monday – Friday; with flexibility for on call rotations which may include occasional evenings and weekends
