    WHO WE ARE:  

    Daivergent (https://www.daivergent.com/) believes the 90% unemployment rate among the disability population is unacceptable. We have developed the world's first curriculum to help these job-seekers find work-from-home and computer-based careers -- taught 100% online.

    We are looking for early stage career candidates with a bachelor's degree who are, energetic, creative, and empathetic to join us as PART TIME, ON-CALL instructors. You will be providing 1:1 remote-based instruction using our curriculum & lesson plans, from the comfort of your own home. We bring the students to you!

    This is a 1099 (INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR) role and provides a wonderful opportunity for those with other employment or commitments who wish to earn supplemental income while assisting a neurodivergent population prepare for competitive employment. This will enable you to make an enormous positive impact within the disability community.

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • You choose the hours when you're available to teach (from the two options listed below) 
    • We match you to job-seekers who are available during your hours
    • We provide you training to help you learn our curriculum and teach it to students
    • PLEASE NOTE: You will be matched to students based on availability, and may not be assigned a student immediately.
    • Bachelor's degree necessary. Master's degree or higher not needed.   
    • Compensation: $22.00 per hour- fixed.

     

    Currently, we are only accepting applications for candidates with availability in any of the time blocks below: HOURS ARE FIXED. 

    • FOUR HOUR SLOTS
    • 9 AM - 1 PM MST
    • 1 PM - 5PM MST
    • TWO HOUR SLOTS
    • 9 AM - 11 AM MST
    • 11 AM - 1 PM MST
    • 1 PM - 3 PM MST
    • 3 PM - 5 PM MST

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS: 

    •  Meet either of the following education & work experience requirements:
      • (1) Bachelors necessary in Psychology, Human Services, Special Education, Teaching, or related field + MINIMUM OF TWO (2) YEARS PAID WORK EXPERIENCE WITH NEURODIVERGENT ADULTS (PRIMARILY) and ADOLESCENTS (17+), OR
      • (2) Bachelors necessary in any discipline + MINIMUM OF THREE (3) YEARS PAID WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH NEURODIVERGENT ADULTS (PRIMARILY) AND ADOLESCENTS (17+).

       

    • Ability to pass a background check
    • Strong computer proficiency, access to computer, web camera, and reliable high-speed internet
    • One plus (1+) remote work experience, preferably teaching job skills
    • Stable employment history
    • At least 21 years old  
    • Legally authorized to work in the US, and physically located in the US

    SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:

    • A sincere desire to support the disability community obtain competitive wage employment
    • Patience for supporting students who may take more time to understand
    • Creativity due to the sometimes dynamic curriculum that we teach
    • An ability to improvise and “think on your feet”, and adjust your instruction accordingly depending on the responsiveness of your students
    • Good energy and outgoing personality
    • Strong positivity and ability to foster a non-judgmental environment
    • Readiness to embrace a “startup mindset”, and have some tech-savvy (we will help you learn this too!)
