    CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

    We are looking for a Superintendent for our project in Concord, NH. The Superintendent is responsible for the safe and timely completion of each assigned project and for ensuring all work is completed in strict accordance with plans, specifications, and local codes. The Superintendent will supervise all subcontractors and vendors daily to ensure adequate manpower is available for each task and that compliant work be performed. Conflicts or unapproved deviations from approved design documents should be communicated to the Project Manager for resolution.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible to lead site team from construction start through project closing as a liaison
    • Ensure contract scope is understood by the entire site management team
    • Assist with the development and maintenance of the baseline production schedule for the project, ensuring proper sequencing of construction activities to allow subcontractors to operate efficiently and profitably
    • Oversee a safe working environment. Apply, implement, and follow all safety measures and maintain throughout the life of the project.
    • Administer and maintain an effective Quality Control Plan
    • Assemble, maintain and file all MSDS requirements
    • Assist with the buyout and preconstruction process as required for the project.
    • Communicate with project team regarding ASIs, RFIs, and Material Submittals and any other changes.
    • Maintain all project as-builts
    • Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to project team for resolution
    • Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite
    • Strong knowledge on civil/site division and utilities for ground up project.
    • Walk the project daily to monitor activities and assist in future planning
    • Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by project team
    • Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel and maintain a positive working environment for the entire site team
    • Maintain professionalism and integrity in all contacts and dealings
    • Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner
    • Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion
    • Gather project material submittals and maintain records of approvals at the job-site
    • Open the jobsite at beginning of the day and secure the jobsite at the end of the day

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • At least 5 years of progressive experience in ground-up new construction and/or rehabilitation construction with strong civil insight knowledge
    • OSHA 30 Certification
    • Solid understanding of project management, estimating, scheduling, budget/cost control, negotiation, field supervision, and financial reporting
    • Develop, maintain and update all 3-week lookaheads and required reporting for the project
    • Able to project site cost impact for the project
    • Able to maintain accurate daily reports
    • Demonstrated organizational, leadership, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner, and to organize necessary resources, including people, materials, equipment, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
    • Knowledge of solicitation, negotiation, award, and management of subcontracts, including without limitations, assisting with the preparation of bid and subcontract scope language
    • Ability to understand, interpret, and implement plans, specifications, and other contract documents and resolve issues calmly and professionally with subcontractors and other third parties in a timely manner
    • Proficient with construction management software, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Project, Procore, and other web-based or mobile document and project management solutions
    • Knowledge of AIA contract documents, and in particular cost plus GMP contracts
