    Daland Swim School is a family-owned business, founded by Ingrid Daland who, after 15 years of teaching and coaching in Westlake Village, opened its doors in 1987. Since then the school has taught over 100,000 students to swim. We're looking for fun and energetic individuals to join our team!

    Swim Coaches are responsible for the day-to-day operation and hands-on guidance of our 350-athlete swim team, which is composed of novice, age group, and senior swimmers. The Head Coach needs to develop and oversee competitive training programs for all age groups (with an emphasis on technique) in conjunction with our school’s assistant coaches.

    Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Guiding youth, age group and senior swimmers in developing and achieving their swimming goals.

    Managing, supervising, mentoring and developing coaching staff to work toward common team goals.

    Demonstrating organizational and managerial skills that promote improvement and team success.

    Holding self and team to high standards in order to foster a culture of accountability.

    Enforcing pool safety rules.

    Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in competitive and/or youth swim coaching. Documented high performance coaching achievement and sound technical understanding of swimming, especially competition swimming. Excellent verbal communication.

    Certificates and Licenses: CPR/First Aid certification and USA Swimming Certification is required.
