OUR 3RD GENERATION FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED AUTOMOTIVE DEALERSHIP IS SEEKING A GENERAL SALES MANAGER / GENERAL MANAGER. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BE A STRONG LEADER CAPABLE OF DRIVING SALES VOLUME AND GROSS, WITH AN OPPORTUNITY TO GROW INTO A GREATER ROLE WITHIN THE ORGANIZATION. WE ARE CURRENTLY OPERATING AS A SINGLE LOCATION STORE IN NORTH CENTRAL IOWA THAT OFFERS SALES AND SERVICE OF BUICK, CHEVY, GMC, FORD, CHRYSLER, DODGE, JEEP AND RAM VEHICLES. CURRENT YTD NEW AND USED SALES VOLUME COMBINED AVERAGE OF 80 UNITS. THE RIGHT INDIVIDUAL SHOULD SHARE OUR VISION OF BEING COMMITTED TO BEING THE REGIONAL LEADER IN PROVIDING THE BEST TRANSPORTATION SOLUTIONS FOR THE INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESSES AND INDUSTRIES THAT WE SERVE. RESPONSIBILITIES
● BE A LEADER & PROVIDE FOCUS FOR OUR SALES TEAM
● WORK DIRECTLY WITH OUR EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMERS TO DEVELOP RELATIONSHIPS AND HELP TO ENHANCE THE SALES PROCESS
● MAINTAIN CSI AT OR ABOVE COMPANY STANDARDS
● BUILD RAPPORT WITH CUSTOMERS TO ESTABLISH CUSTOMER NETWORK
● PROVIDE TRAINING AND SUPPORT TO THE SALES STAFF AND ASSIST IN CLOSING DEALS
● HELP MANAGE PRODUCTIVITY OF SALES DEPARTMENT
● MAINTAINS GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIP WITH MANUFACTURER AND LENDING INSTITUTIONS
● FACILITATE REGULAR SALES TRAINING FOR CONTINUED TEAM GROWTH
● MAINTAIN A BALANCED NEW AND USED VEHICLE INVENTORY AND WORK WITH ESTABLISHED POLICIES FOR AGED INVENTORY
● REQUIRE THAT STANDARDS ARE MAINTAINED FOR DISPLAYING, MERCHANDISING, AND MAINTAINING NEW AND USED VEHICLES
● ENSURE THAT SALESPEOPLE MAINTAIN A 100-PERCENT TURNOVER TO THE F&I MANAGER
● COORDINATE FACTORY AND DEALERSHIP SALES PROGRAMS AND PROMOTIONS.
● REVIEW THE HANDLING OF INCOMING SALES CALLS
QUALIFICATIONS
● DEALERSHIP MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE - PREVIOUS F&I EXPERIENCE STRONGLY PREFERRED
● PROVEN TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS IN CSI, MARKET SHARE, VOLUME, AND PROFIT
● MUST BE INTERESTED IN TRAINING SALES TEAM MEMBERS AND WORK WITHIN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT
● ENTHUSIASTIC WITH HIGH ENERGY THROUGHOUT THE SALES WORKDAY
● CLEAN DRIVING RECORD WITH VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
● WILLING TO SUBMIT TO A PRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND CHECK & DRUG SCREEN
