About Creative Empowering Solutions :

Creative Empowering Solutions(CES) is a billing company. We serve many clients on different scales but have a focus in anesthesia billing. We are looking for an experienced collector/biller with at least 2-5 years of experience.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Outpatient facility billing - this is not a remote position

• Extensive knowledge and subject matter expert in working Athena and Availity RCM

• • Credentialing knowledge is a plus

• Understands insurance verification / guarantors / adding demographics

• Works in unison and effectively communicates with Management Team, providing daily input through verbal discussion and email to assure the best operation and success of the business

• Displays a positive attitude at all times and encourages the same from team mates

• Displays excellent time management skills and a track record of meeting goals and deadlines

• Thoroughly documents accounts as needed to provide a clear understanding of actions taken

• Sets up new accounts in PM software and works new accounts during their introductory period until deemed ready to be turned over to another staff member

• Reviews clients work for completeness and accuracy

• Provides input regarding issues such as trends and patterns to Management Team immediately

• Responsible for all Billing and Aging functions for assigned clinics

• Works Aged Claims daily and determines reason for aged claims and refiling

• Interacts with clients on phone and in writing so must possess exemplary communication skills

• Handles additional assignments and workload as requested

• Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/regulations.

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma
• Associates preferred - experience can substitute for education
• Certified Coder a plus
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with medical billing processes and systems technology
• Outpatient facility billing
• Extensive Knowledge and subject matter expert in Athena and Availity RCM
• Understands insurance verification / guarantors / adding demographics

Skills:

• Strong understanding and working knowledge of Billing, Coding and Collection processes and procedures
• Strong understanding of Availity RCM - submit claim in batch, edit/error management, claim status tracking, remittance, and appeals
• Computer savvy with the operation of practice management software (Experior/Kareo/Aprima/Athena)
• Knowledge of all insurance websites, credentialing and payment posting
• Skilled in developing and implementing work processes related to billing/collections
• Detail oriented and tolerant of frequent interruptions and distractions from clients and staff
• Demonstrate common sense
• Able to resolve issues on a regular basis - think outside of the box
• Exemplary written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under stress, deadlines and end of month processes. Rally the team to get it done!
• Ability to seek out advice from others before making a rash decisions
• Ability to develop processes that reduce errors and eliminate redundancy
• Ability to answer questions from clients in a professional manner
