BBA Afterschool Inc. is hiring an enthusiastic, creative, and dependable After-School Dance amp; Cheer Instructor to lead engaging dance-focused enrichment programs with cheer activities for elementary-aged students in Chicago, IL.

The program is primarily focused on dance , with cheer incorporated into activities. We are looking for someone who enjoys teaching movement, rhythm, choreography, coordination, and performance while creating a fun and positive environment for children.

Position Details

• Part-time, after-school position

• Schedule: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

• 1.5-hour sessions

• $45 per session ($30 per hour)

• Monday through Friday

• No weekends

• No lesson planning required

• Curriculum and materials provided

• In-person position in Chicago

Program Focus

Students will explore:

• Dance fundamentals

• Basic choreography

• Rhythm and musicality

• Movement and coordination

• Creative dance activities

• Performance skills

• Teamwork and confidence

• Basic cheer movements and routines

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging, dance-focused sessions for elementary students

• Teach age-appropriate dance movements and choreography

• Incorporate basic cheer activities and movements

• Help students develop rhythm, coordination, confidence, and performance skills

• Encourage creativity, teamwork, and positive participation

• Follow BBA#39;s structured curriculum and activities

• Create a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment

• Supervise and engage students throughout each session

• Communicate professionally with school staff and BBA leadership

Qualifications

• Dance, choreography, cheer, gymnastics, or movement experience preferred but not required

• Reliable transportation to the program location

• Must successfully complete the required background check process
