Job Description
A fast-paced boutique real estate law firm seeks an experienced paralegal to handle all aspects of bank closing files.
Requirements:
Working with mortgage lenders in purchase and refinance transactions, including, Coops, CEMAs, etc.
Preparing numerous documents including but not limited to CDs, Deeds, Transfer Tax Forms, UCCs, Power of Attorney, FIRPTA, Closing Statements, Contracts, ACRIS, etc.
Title review/clearance
Facilitating external CEMAs and Coop payoffs
Handles closing statement and adjustments, including calculating all transfer taxes and tax adjustments
Schedules prepare for and on occasion attend residential closings
Handling files from inception to closing
Working independently in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and dedicated to providing a sophisticated service level by being proactive and responsive
