Successful nationwide insurance agency established in 1954 is seeking a motivated individual to join our winning team for the role of Account Agent. We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability Insurance Producer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects, identifying and assessing their professional liability insurance needs, and recommending appropriate coverage options as well as recognizing the importance of exceptional customer service.
The Account Executive position is supported by a seasoned Account Associate to assist in servicing professional liability insurance customers and prospects in compliance with departmental goals and processes.
Responsibilities:
Identify and prospect new clients while maintaining and strengthening existing relationships with clients.
Warm leads provided via direct mail and digital sources. No cold calling.
Assess client's professional liability insurance needs and provide recommendations for appropriate coverage options
Negotiate insurance terms, conditions, and pricing with carriers to obtain the best coverage for clients
Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to closing deals
Conduct risk analysis and develop insurance solutions to mitigate client risks
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in insurance laws and regulations
Collaborate with other team members to develop marketing strategies and tactics to generate new business opportunities
Maintain knowledge of underwriting guidelines established by the professional liability carrier
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in professional liability insurance sales
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
Excellent negotiation skills
Knowledge of insurance products, regulations, and industry trends
· Become skilled in the proprietary agency management system, software, and tools that are used to complete tasks
· Document and maintain customer files regarding communications, action items, and follow-ups
Qualifications:
· Demonstrated skill in
o Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
o Effective verbal and written communication skills
· Current P&C insurance license; agency pays for renewal and necessary non-resident licenses
