SUMMARY
Assists the Plant Manager with all aspects of developing and managing Environmental Health and Safety programs pertaining to OSHA regulations and state and federal environmental regulations. Aids in the development of safety and health programs, training, and environmental reporting/records management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists the Plant Manager with collecting, reviewing, and organizing compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with program development and execution for compliance with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA, and other agencies. Example programs include: confined space entry, lockout tagout, noise, emergency response, etc. as well as environmental programs involving air, water, and hazardous waste requirements.
REQUIREMENTSMinimum 2.8 overall GPA required.Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree. The desired education would be in the areas of Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health and Safety Management.Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word a must.The ideal candidate will also have a fundamental knowledge of OSHA regulations, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
