STATUS: EXEMPT
Salary plus commission role:
This role has a base Salary and a monthly commission payout. Commission is paid once the customer has paid Dardini.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for a service minded individual to act as a liaison between our existing customers and freight carriers. The Account Manager is responsible for handling customer accounts and related communication and activity between the customer and Dardini Logistics Services. In addition, The Account Manager Position is responsible for coordinating the movement of shipments while building strong, working relationships.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a current book of business of existing customers
- Maintain client satisfaction with existing accounts by staying up-to-date with industry knowledge (rates, carriers, load capacities, equipment, etc.) to be both profitable and competitive
- Identify opportunities with existing clients to solicit new business.
- Build and develop a network of carriers that supports our customers’ needs
- Daily contact with carriers to determine availability and negotiate transportation rates
- Leverage carrier relationships to drive revenue and market expansion
- Collaborate with team members to maintain accounts
- Maintain focus on key performance indicators, reports, metrics, and methods for ongoing measurement of customer performance and departmental success
- Enforce carrier compliance with operational systems
- Assist with collection issues on assigned accounts
- Monitor shared email box to ensure timely responses with both internal and external clients
- Develop a thorough understanding of the TMS system and supporting software

EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- 2+ years demonstrated third party logistics carrier sales experience preferred
- 1+ years of customer relationship management experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education

WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURES
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office

- No environmental or chemical hazards are encountered in performance of job duties
- Position may require some travel inside and out of the state of Arizona via car and/or airplane
- Ability to sit for extended periods may be required
