Summary
The successful candidate will support NAVOCEANOPSCOM System Operations Division and NAVOCEANOPSCOM subordinate Commands. The contractor will be required to configure, deploy, operate and support various workstation, laptops, servers, network and storage components that comprise a system. This will support Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) and must comply with Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8140.01, Cyberspace Workforce Management, dated 5 October 2020 and DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, 19 December 2005, Change 4, 10 November 2015).
Duties, Tasks & Responsibilities
- Assist government personnel with hardware, software, and network security configurations to meet system and DoD/DoN IA requirements.
- Assist government personnel with system administration support for NOOC and NOOC subordinate fielded system to maintain RMF certification.
- Provide, implement, and support common configuration management practices and procedures necessary to ensure a high degree of configuration identification, status accounting, change control and auditing for all NAVOCEANOPSCOM Information Systems. Support will ensure that sound configuration management practices are implemented, and current accurate records are maintained identifying the baselines for NAVOCEANOPSCOM assets.
- Provide system administration support to NAVOCEANOPSCOM Infrastructure Projects.
- Provide Information Assurance Technology (IAT) (Information Assurance Workforce, or IAWF Level II/III or equivalent) system administration support to Naval Controlled Unclassified Information Procurement Sensitive Controlled Unclassified Information - Procurement Sensitive NAVOCEANOPSCOM Systems to include the configuration of operating systems and associated METOC application software to Defense Information System Agency (DISA)/DoD standards according to the latest Security Technical
- Implementation Guidelines (STIG), Active Directory and Group Policy for Windows operating systems, and UNIX/LINUX computers to operate on DoD networks. The contractor will execute Security scans (Retina) and mitigate issues across all operating systems, image systems to create baselines, and design/operate networks infrastructure (routers, switches, and other network devices) to current DoD and commercial standards.
Required Experience, Skills, & Technologies
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline, OR related technical experience may be substituted for education.
- DoD 8570 IAT/IAM II (Security + Certification
- Experience with Windows 10 or 11 and Windows Server 2016 or 2019
- Significant, hands-on Windows administration and troubleshooting experience, both Server and PC operating systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively and proactively across a large organization of dispersed teams and external customers.
- Strong ability to self-start and work independently
