    Darkroom, a rapidly growing creative agency, is seeking an experienced Executive Producer to join our team. An Executive Producer is responsible for taking an agreed creative idea and bringing the clients’ wishes to life on-air and/or on screens and other channels. This role requires a strong understanding of advertising formats/channels, logistics planning, direct-response advertising for e-commerce, and creative problem-solving.

    A direct emphasis on performance marketing creative, user-generated content, and direct-response advertising production is highly encouraged. Candidates with past experience in this field or with another growth agency will be prioritized.

    Your role will be vital for helping bridge the gap between our branding work with our growth strategies for clients — to maintain and uplift their brand at scale.

    What you'll do:

    • Supporting the creative team and their idea(s); representing, owning, championing, and finding creative solutions to bring the idea to life in accordance with the brief (for example: being able to explain the production quote to a client in detail, justifying all costs at the are production meeting including types of insurance)
    • Meeting clients, listening to their needs, and being trusted to manage the process for them. This will include presenting solutions and ideas to problems.
    • Seeing the production through from conception to final cut.
    • The ability to develop production-specific packages or scopes based on a common customer need or client profile.
    • Work with the Darkroom performance marketing team to develop brand awareness and direct response advertisements for paid social channels.
    • Work with the Darkroom business development team to develop pitches or scopes when necessary.
    • Facilitating and/or producing any concept work before the project is live. This may include Animatic; Mood Films; Sound Scapes.
    • Facilitating and/or producing a comprehensive development outline of how content will be shot, sequenced, edited, and delivered for the specific purpose of paid advertising or e-commerce.
    • Sourcing the partners, companies, and suppliers to work on the project; directors, overseeing treatments, casting agents, actors, artists, locations, animators, etc.
    • Editing film and other content in the edit suite.
    • Managing all third-party relationships throughout the Production process to ensure strong collaboration and high-quality moving content work that meets the brief.
    • Managing the production budget, and the associated administration, in accordance with client and agency expectations. Partnering with Finance on purchase orders, billable costs and people investments required.
    • Coordinating and managing the entire project in collaboration with the Director and Production Services, Commercial Production, Creative team, and Client Service as required.
    • Generating ideas or new techniques to develop work as it is taken from the page to the screen.
    • Awareness of rules surrounding usage fees, talent, contracts, and shooting abroad.
    • Focused on the personal and professional development of the production team.

    What you'll need to be successful:

    • Degree in film, television or related field preferable.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
    • Experience in film, digital advertising, television, or journalism.
    • Strong network of freelance creatives, vendors, contractors, and/or suppliers; including directors, photographers, videographers, equipment rentals, casting agents, actors, artists, locations, animators, etc.
    • Experience creating a wide range of commercial content from direct-response ads to multi-faceted OTT commercial work.
    • Comfortable with delegation.
    • Good multitasking ability.
