At Darwins, we build applications connecting people to Web3. We are expanding our team in Irvine, CA (USA) and are currently seeking an Android Developer to help develop and build a decentralized finance application. The ideal candidate is a self-inspired individual who is passionate about blockchain technologies' disruptive potential and has an extensive proven track-record in developing mobile technologies for Android. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement designs for native (Android) mobile app using Kotlin (Android Studio 4.1.2)
• Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, and support)
• Interact with Web3 protocols to utilize Blockchain technology
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
• Collaborate with Engineering team and Designers to improve user experience
• Apply Software Engineering best practices such as Agile & Scrum to create well-tested and documented codebase with very little technical debt

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of software development experience

• 3+ years developing mobile applications

• Exceptional technical communication skills

• Solid understanding of mobile user experience best practices and standards

• Proficient in Kotlin (Android Studio 4.1.2)

• Proficient in a server-side language of your choice (preferably Node.js or Python)

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

• Bonus: Experience working with Blockchain technologies

• Bonus: Experience developing financial apps or social apps
