Position:  Security Officer

Searching for an experienced and dependable individual to join our team as a Security Officer for our CLIA-certified high complexity laboratory that performs SARS-CoV-2 diagnostic RT-PCR testing. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor company’s property and maintain a safe and secure environment.
• Watch for signs of crime or disorder; investigate disturbances.
• Stand post and monitor surveillance systems.
• Act as a consistent presence to deter criminals.
• Evict violators of rules and regulations.
• Report any suspicious/unusual occurrences to authorities and management.
• Patrol premises randomly and regularly, including buildings and perimeter.
• Monitor and control access of building entrances and vehicle gates.
• Enforce proper PPE use.
• Perform first-aid or CPR if needed.
• MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION - wear and tear will be reimbursed.

Qualifications

• Education
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• Experience
  • Military experience is a plus.
  • Security certification is preferred; or, willingness to attain certification.
