Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst with strong expertise in Power BI to support data-driven decision-making across our organization. This role is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights through effective data modeling, reporting, and visualization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical skills, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources to provide actionable insights.
Dashboard and Report Creation: Develop interactive and user-friendly dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key metrics and trends.
Data Modeling: Design and implement data models using Power Query and DAX to support complex data analysis.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Data Quality: Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of data by establishing and enforcing data quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data processes and tools and implement best practices for data management.
Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification is preferred.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
o Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
o 2+ years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on Power BI.
Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, DAX, SQL, and Excel. Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes is a plus.
o Strong computer skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel and Access capabilities, including Great Plains.
o Ability to navigate in a Microsoft Windows environment, including finding files in a directory structure, opening/saving/closing files, opening multiple programs and navigating between separate windows/files.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide meaningful insights.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
