Job Summary
The role of the Data Analyst is to assist with general finance and analytics functions including recording and maintaining accurate and complete data records, building and maintaining reports, data entry, performing variance analysis, & file management.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assists with research, general filing, data entry, and coordinating and maintaining accurate and complete records.
- Works across all departments to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the operations of the company.
- Develops, maintains, and analyzes regularly generated reports and statistics.
- Participates in various projects/initiatives aimed at improving the use of the EMR platform.
- Provides internal support and troubleshoots user issues as they arise within the EMR platform.
- Works with the Compliance team and department heads to construct and maintain internal controls pertaining to data compliance and accuracy.
- Gathers, interprets, and evaluates data to support short to long-term forecasts and trends.
- Assists in month end, quarter end, and year end processes, as needed.
- Assists with other Finance based ad-hoc projects, as needed.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the behavioral health field
- Experience operating in EMR Platform
- Experience working with large amounts of data
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficient at Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies efficiently
- Ability to generate reports on an aided basis
- Working knowledge of Pivot Tables
- Working knowledge of methods for cleaning and manipulating data
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility
- Aptitude for math and proficiency with computers
- Attention to detail and efficient time-management skills
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks such as typing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to clearly express and exchange ideas by means of spoken words to impart oral information to employees or others accurately or quickly, engaging in sometimes lengthy conversations or presentations.
- Must be able to ascend and descend stairs daily.
- Must be able to seize, hold, grasp, turn or otherwise work with your hand or hands.
- Must be able to perceive sound by ear to interpret oral information from employees or others accurately or quickly.
- Work will be performed in an office environment with fluctuating temperatures.
