A growing North Texas organization is hiring a Data & Business Process Analyst to help improve reporting, workflow automation, and operational data visibility across multiple departments.
This role works closely with Finance, Operations, IT, and Sales teams to improve how business data is captured, analyzed, and used for decision-making. The position is ideal for someone early in their analytics career who enjoys solving operational problems with data.
The analyst will support initiatives across accounting workflows, reporting processes, and system usage improvements while helping leadership teams track performance through dashboards and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and recurring analytics using Excel and business intelligence tools
- Translate business questions into clear reporting and actionable insights
- Deliver reporting for finance, operations, and leadership stakeholders
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across operational systems
- Support ad-hoc analysis requests for leadership teams
- Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual data entry and repetitive reporting tasks
- Improve workflows related to vendor data, invoices, and financial reporting
- Develop automation and reporting improvements within existing systems
- Support better data flow between operational platforms and reporting tools
Documentation & Collaboration
- Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and data definitions
- Partner with stakeholders to improve workflows and reporting usability
- Support cross-department initiatives involving finance, IT, operations, and sales data
Success Indicators (First 6 Months)
- Reduction in manual data entry within finance or operational workflows
- Standardized reporting used consistently by business stakeholders
- Recurring reports automated or significantly streamlined
- Improved data documentation and process clarity across teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or operational analytics
- Advanced Excel skills (formulas, data manipulation, reporting)
- Experience working with operational or financial datasets
- Ability to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with ERP or financial systems (NetSuite experience helpful)
- Exposure to Accounts Payable workflows, vendor data, or accounting operations
- Experience improving or documenting business processes
