    *This position is located in Elk Grove Village, IL and has the opportunity for hybrid work up to three days remote per week, with on-site support as needed.

    YOUR ROLE:

    • Monitor, diagnose, and work with Network/System Engineers to resolve network and computer system issues

    • Manage and administer servers (firmware upgrade)

    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of network administration and firmware integration

    • Monitor the environmental conditions of a data center to ensure they are optimum for servers, routers, and other devices

    • Perform system repairs and update software/operating systems

    • Calibrate and monitor data center servers to ensure efficient performance

    • Collaborate with IT handlers and data center managers to develop action plan for improved operations

    • Organize the floor space that harbor data center equipment to allow for easy accessibility

    • Resolve operational, infrastructure or hardware incidents in a data center.

    • Racking and cabling server/storage/network devices.

    WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

    • Education and Training: 3 years’ experience with complex system in the data center. Certifications from IT companies such as Microsoft and Cisco Technologies are a plus

    • Analytical Skill: Engineers at data centers are adept at conducting tests to identify faults in server hardware and network systems

    • Teamwork Skill: Work with data center support and system/network engineers to ensure smooth work operations

    • Time management Skill: Effectively complete job tasks within set time constraints

    • Physical Demand: Able to lift servers/switches for racking and cabling
