The Data Coordinator is responsible for compiling information from various sources, including paper documents and archival databases, into a single repository. In addition, this position is responsible for data input and output, data management, data manipulation and reporting for the housing department. This position works with a great deal of sensitive information and the incumbent must understand and exercise confidentiality in their work.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in any computer, business information technology or data related field preferred
2+ years’ experience in a role that requires heavy data entry, reporting, data analysis and/or database management
Excellent written communication, including use of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Access
Experience with office equipment, such as printers and scanners
Strong data entry skills – typing speed 60 wpm or 1500 ksph
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to stay focused on tasks in a busy environment and meet prescribed deadlines
Ability to work discretely with confidential information
Experience working with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.)
