Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Entry Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for entering and maintaining accurate data in our systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent typing skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately input data into databases, spreadsheets, and systems from various sources
Verify and review data for errors or inconsistencies; correct inaccuracies as needed
Maintain and update records, ensuring all information is current and accurate
Prepare and sort documents for data entry
Assist with generating reports, summaries, and analysis from entered data
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information securely
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
Collaborate with team members and departments to ensure smooth data operations
Respond to requests for information and access relevant files as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in data entry or administrative support is a plus
Proven experience as a data entry clerk or in a similar role
Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 50 WPM preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and data entry software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
