The Data Analyst Internship is a paid role for candidates interested in data analysis in K-12 education who are currently enrolled in a related undergraduate or graduate program.

Interns will gain experience in the basic duties in support of data analysis and data visualization. Work will include writing queries aligned to business requirements.  Work will also include reviewing, cleaning, and importing data from disparate sources such as flat files or databases.

The position's weekly work schedule is flexible.  The duration of the internship is also flexible but is envisioned to be approximately 3-9 months.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Under close supervision and guidance, perform basic duties in support of data analysis and data visualization
• Review, clean, and import data from disparate sources such as flat files or databases
• In addition to the above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completed coursework related to querying relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) with SQL queries
• Exposure to translating business rules into data visualizations and database queries (SQL)
• Attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy
• Ability to draft documentation of new and existing processes
