The National Institute of Clinical Research, a leading research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, is seeking a Data Management Assistant with 1 or more years of experience, to join our team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Data Management Assistant to support our team with data entry, record maintenance, and basic reporting tasks. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with foundational data management skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities:
Accurately enter and update data in spreadsheets and databases
Maintain and organize digital and physical records
Assist in generating basic Excel reports and summaries
Conduct simple data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness
Support other administrative and clerical tasks as needed
Follow company data privacy and security protocols
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., data entry, formatting, sorting, filtering)
Knowledgeable or trainable in navigating and reading clinical records
Good understanding of healthcare documentation and medical terminology
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong organizational skills for managing workload and meeting deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong work ethic and ability to collaborate with research coordinators, healthcare teams, and other staff
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Previous office or administrative experience is a plus, but not required
Preferred Skills:
Experience with data entry systems or databases
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Google Docs)
Interest in developing more advanced Excel or data analysis skills
Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHRs) or Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
Previous experience involving review or abstraction of medical records
